This is how you make up *warm* formula milk in less than 90 seconds.

1. in the morning , sterilise all your bottles.

2. Lets say dc takes 7 ounces per feed. boil in kettle and then pur 4.5 ounces into each sterliser. screw on cap, leave to cool down to room temp.

3. when dc is hungry, boil water in kettle (tiny bit, shouldnt take a minute) and top up a bottle to make 7 ounces. scoop in milk, shake and serve.

the idea is room temp water + freshly boiled water = water at right temp.

You can EVEN have the water boiled in a flask that will make the whole thing quicker by about 60 seconds. that will give you warm milk in an instant.

hes 9 months and been on it since 4 months...

iirc I used to put 7 scoops in but only 5 oz of boiling water.

cool, put in fridge

then when you needed one, boil the kettle, fill up to 7oz mark, shake, voila, ready to drink

but mine refused bottles until 5 months so by the time I succeeded in getting the obstinate brats taking them, they were able to wait for a bit anyway, newborns diff matter I suppose

Presumably he's drinking less milk and eating more food anyway now then? I would definitely ask your HV about trying him without the anti-reflux milk, just to see how he does - if he gets worse you can put him back on it?

yeah he only takes about 12-16oz of milk a day (not through my choice, hes a pita to feed and always has been!!) but he eats like a trooper, i think my reluctance is because hes still a sicky baby even on this stuff, i dread to think what hes like off it!
