Hey ladies!

I'm driving myself insane! I just cant seem to pump what I'd say is enough food into my little one!
She still has a full 7oz of milk in the morning, I'll be lucky to get any toast/breakfast down her. Maybe half a banana and hand full of strawberries at best.
Lunch shes not fussed, she might graze on half a sandwich and a few crisps if I'm lucky.
Dinner.... rarely ever accepts it! She will turn her face away from the fork and point blank refuse it, I'll be lucky to get a yoghurt down her.

It's not even as though she will crave bad food either because due to desperation I've tried offering her a barney bear sponge cake or a packet of milky buttons and she just doesnt want it!

Now she goes to nursery 1 day a week which seems to be some form of comfort for me because ofcourse she will eat everything put in front of her there! (So they say!)

I've tried expressing my concerns to my doctor, a health visitor, I've spoken in general to the nursery and other mummy friends but I'm kind of passed off with "dont worry she wont starve"

Yet you read online of guidelines of 3 meals a day and 2 snacks etc; I can barely get 1 meal in her!

She was really accepting of all food as a baby, it seems weve hit 18 months and now she doesnt want to know! Am I over reacting?

My DD was very fussy so you have sympathy.

You say she had 7 floz in the morning. Is she having any other milk during the day or at night?

Actually from the amounts you are saying she eats, she sounds pretty normal. Is she following her centiles? Is she bright and alert at times?

Can I ask about her evening meal too? You say she's turning away from the fork, are you still trying to feed her? At that age, I'd just let her get on with it and concentrate on your meal. I bet nobody is feeding her in Nursery Smile

Search toddler appetite slump on the internet. It is very normal and yes, frustrating. DS1 went through weeks only eating fruit, yogurt and bread at that age. I was so worried and kept on getting mad at him, but he was growing just fine.
