My baby has gone from one extreme to another, for the first 6 weeks of her life we couldn’t even put her down she hated lying flat so much she could only sleep when you held her, then one day she changed and loved being put down which was the best thing ever! She got herself into a nighttime routine, we do tummy time at 8pm for about half an hour with lots of cuddle breaks and then after that she’ll have her final bottle of the night at 8:30pm, she’ll be asleep by 9:00/9:30pm and then she won’t wake up again anywhere between 5:30/8:00am she’s now 11 weeks old so she’s been doing this for over a month which is wonderful but as I first time mum I’m still not sure If I need to wake her for night feeds. I breast fed her for the first 5 weeks of her life I mix fed for a week after that but now I just formula feed. I’ve asked people for advice some say she’s needs to be woken and some say leave her to sleep. Shall I leave her her wake her?

If she is over birth weight and is gaining weight with plenty of wet/ dirty nappies then I wouldn't wake her

I would leave her to sleep. She has obviously decided she needs the rest! :) my baby was like this too. She loves her sleep. So do I !! If you're concerned get her weighed every month or so to check she is gaining weight steadily xxx

Don't wake her. She sounds as though she is doing fine. Enjoy the peace, you're very fortunate.

Don’t wake her! My DD did this... there was one memorable night at 3am about 5 weeks in when my Mum suggested opening wine while she sat up with me and this awake baby and then she clicked and slept through- enjoy while it lasts because it didn’t last forever....

I wouldn't wake her. Congrats on your new baby.

Never wake a sleeping baby! They will wake up when they are hungry. Enjoy it while you can before they have another growth spurt xx

If your baby is gaining weight and healthy then I wouldn’t wake her!!

By the way, my boy would only sleep in my arms for the first 10 weeks of his life and suddenly decided he preferred his back as well 😝!! It was around that time he started sleeping 9pm-4am !! He was eating more during the day though to make up for it ! Now he is 15 weeks , sleeps 8pm/9pm until 6am/7am ( sometimes even longer ) without waking for food and is fine !!! He usually eats every 2-3 hours during the day and we get in 6 feeds ( sometimes 7 feeds) in total !
