How often should I be offering water to my baby?

I read various ideas that breastmilk is enough to maintain hydration but then some other sources say I should be regularly giving water.

I am breastfeeding DD (9mo) at certain points during the day and night and weaning is going well. DD doesn't ever seem dehydrated so I'm not worried but I'm just curious to hear thoughts and opinions.

Once you're weaning, offer a cup of water with meals.

Yes once weaning I gave a cup of water with meals Smile

I offer water with meals, and I am starting to give a drink of water and a rice cake before 11am bottle now at 9.5 months as baby slowly dropping this 11am feed and is only taking between 1 and 3 ounces currently at this bottle.

Ok that's interesting. I've been offering water with dinner to help with overnight digestion (don't know where I got that idea but there you go) but I'll offer more often.
Many thanks.

Yep what the others have said, offering some solid foods at mealtimes , with breastfeeds carrying on as normal (which you are probably noticeing decreasing a little now?) Plus cup of water available at meals.

Yes although it's hard to tell how much breastmilk she's taking each time , the feeds are less frequent
(Feed to sleep during night but that's a whole other issue!()

So glad you asked this. I've been weaning DS (9 months) and it didn't really occur to me to offer water. Whoops. He still wees enough for the entire country though, thankfully.
