I've decided to bottle feed my baby but I'm worried about being judged because I've made that decision, will I be forced to try and breastfeed at the hospital or will the midwives and my health visitor respect my choice?

No you won't be forced to try breastfeeding. Just make sure that your feeding choice is written clearly on your notes, and then if anyone does ask you about it just refer them to your notes and say it's not up for discussion.

You will absolutely not be forced to try op. You might be encouraged to try, but if you confirm your choice it should be respected. You might want to look at your hospital's policy on ff for information on what facilities they have/what you need to take in yourself.

Take some formula with you! That's what I'm going to do, the ones with pre sterilised teats for convenience, but you can take other ones in. Some hospitals don't have any (or much) so better to be equipped.
Also, might be an idea to prepare your answers as to why? So that when you are feeling very tired and weak you have "strong you" written out ready

There is nothing to be judged on. How you feed your baby is your choice and as long as baby is fed that is all that matters.

Most hospitals will supply formula in pre sterilised bottles, ask your midwife what your hospital do. I happened to breast feed in the end but to begin with I fed my baby the formula supplied by the hospital until my milk came in on day 3.

My baby weighed 6Ib6 and the Midwife insisted that I give formula as soon as he was born because he was small. Formula provides babies all over the world with all of the nutrition they need and not everyone wants to breastfeed.

If it helps, I have had a really good experience with all midwives and HVs I've come into contact with regarding FF.

I tried BF but gave up after day 4 (I'm disappointed in myself but that's another story!).

I’ve just had a baby and am EBF but there was no pressure to do it. There’s a lot of support if you do breastfeed but no judgement if you don’t.
