8 month feeding?

Need some help with how much my 8 month DD should be feeding?

This is what we do at the moment:
BF when she wakes up
Wheetabix a couple of hours later
Snack at some point
Lunch/bottle of formula
Snack
Supper
Bottle of formula at bedtime
BF 1/2 times in the night

I don't think she's getting enough liquids as her poos are like little pebbles and quite firm. I'm not sure how to introduce more liquid in? I try to BF/offer more formula but if she isn't hungry she won't take it. I've got those soppy cup things and been offering one to her every now and then for about a month but she doesn't know how to drink from them yet.

ANY advice welcome as I'm sure it's not quite right at the moment. I'm taking her to get weighed soon so I'll ask the HV too.

Thank you!

Do you offer water at meal times? I give my DS a few sips of water from a sippy cup ( I hold it when I want him to drink rather than smash it around everywhere). Otherwise the poos could be fibre related? Prunes are good for softening poops

I do but she doesn't know how to drink it. I had tried a few different cups but I think it was too confusing so have stuck with the ones that have the seal that breaks and then you suck the water out. Whenever I offer it to her she pulls it down and sucks on the top of the rim.

I've got an avent one that is good for breastfed babies. But if she takes a bottle, can't you just put the water in that?

Do you have a Doidy Cup? My DS started drinking much more water once we tried it as he prefers to see what he's drinking.

It sounds like you have a Munchkin 360 style cup - maybe you could unscrew the top and just offer her the open cup to see if she prefers it?

Even though our fluid intake has improved, DS still suffers from constipation from time to time - I find prunes or pears with his breakfast really help to get things moving, so worth trying that too.

Well done for persevering - eventually it just clicks and they get it!

@ReaganSomerset I had considered that but was warned off it by a friend. Can't remember her reason but it seemed sound at the time. Maybe need to reconsider.

@goldenslumbers1 ah! I've seen these but didn't know the name. I'm going to get one on amazon now.

Thanks for your help all!
