quick question about freezing ebm

I'm sure I saw a thread about this recently, but can't find it - can anyone tell me if it's OK to add freshly expressed milk to a container of frozen ebm and then freeze? I don't usually manage to express much in a session and so I end up with loads of containers with not v much in them.

Thanks.

I wouldn't.
Freeze separately then you can defrost several at the same time and put together to make up one bottle.
I saved millions of little jars for this purpose.

or use an ice cube tray?

thehairybabysmum · 27/06/2007 08:36

I did this with no problems, especially if you are going to use it all in one go.

Purplemonkey I thank you.

What a dopey mare I am.

It is ok, though, as long as what you put in doesn't defrost what is already there.

Sorry for hijack ---- Hi Hairy, how are you & Hairybaby & Probablywillbehairyaswellbaby?
Tomato plants are doing great thanks - about twice as tall as me , one is potted up properly and the other is rapidly outgrowing the first pot I put it in; both have flowers.

All good here though bump scarily huge at only 25 weeks...dread to think what it will be like at the end!!!
