Whoever came up with the saying "no use crying over spilt milk" has clearly never expressed a drop in their lives

Although I suppose the crying doesn't really help matters!

No they probably haven’t. If you’re upset, do you actually need to express.

Do you think that telling us more might help Thanks

I hear you. My DH once dropped a syringe of colostrum that it had taken me over an hour to collect while our twins were in NICU.

It was a seriously bleak momentSad

Oh god I remember knocking over a full session worth's of milk and just bursting into tears. As I did when I realised that all my milk in the freezer had somehow gone off. It is the worst. So much sympathy and I hope you're ok.

MyKingdomForBrie · 29/11/2018 22:59

Oh god I've done that, heart breaking!

My (not d at that moment)husband once chucked a whole bottle down the sink because it had been 'out of the fridge since you expressed it!' Umm yep that was two hours ago. Angry

bluechameleon · 29/11/2018 23:05

Oh, you poor thing. It's so emotional isn't it. I cried when DS1 drank the only bottleful I ever managed to express (usuallt only got small amounts) and almost immediately threw it back up.

FusionChefGeoff · 29/11/2018 23:19

DH left my whole fridge stash (4/5 feeds worth) out on the side at the 11pm feed and wasn't discovered until next morning.

Whole lot had to go down the sink.

So many awful stories😢
I am expressing due to being unable to breastfeed, but it is grueling work and seems to take over my life! Feeling like I am getting into a bit of a routine, but there is always something to come along... Spilt milk, milk down the drain, mega vomits, blocked ducts, scabby nipples. And on that note, time to pump again!
