9 months and night wakings

So my just turned 9 month old is still waking in the night for a feed.

This seems to be the only way to settle her back to sleep she goes down about 7 and then wakes between 2/3.

I've tried to just cuddle her to which she falls asleep and then as soon as I put her down she wakes up. I've tried to let her cry a little and to see if she self settles back to which then it just seems a two hour battle of me just settling her and then crying and then going over it again etc.

I've tried reducing formula and even tried water.

She has 3 meals a day and 3/4 bottles in the day and most of the time a good 10iz before bed?
Would you just continue with night feeds she does have the odd night where she will sleep till 7-7 but not often.

Any advice would be great. Thank you

My one year old still wakes for one night feed. I tried water and it didn't go down well!

9 months is very young to be sleeping through. It is biologically normal for your baby to still need milk durring the night so just feed her.

9 months is often a time for a massive sleep regression. I’m sorry but I think you’re fighting a battle you can’t win at the moment.

There are some things you can do though, have a read of get your baby to sleep and we had some success with the No Cry Sleep Solution.

Agree with Jacks too, babies are programmed to wake and also, despite what the formula companies would like you to believe, formula isn’t a magic formula, especially when it comes to sleep Smile

According to these studies on normal infant sleep 50% of babies st 12 months require sone parent intervention in the night after waking.

Have a look at Baby Sleep Info Source too. It’s a very useful site Smile
