So my boy is 19 weeks today and I'm ftm
He has reflux (at least that's what I suspect as he can be sick up to two hours after a feed and it's clear with white specks) HV doesn't care as he's putting on weight, last time I saw one she said I could try reflux milk if it bothers me. So I made the decision to put him on hipp comfort (he was on normal hipp) as it was a bit thicker but not so thick it constipated him. He was fine for around five weeks, then started to be sick again! So over weekend I changed him back to normal, now he's being sick a long time after feeds again :(
I feel lost and don't know what to do!
I will stop rambling now sorry x

DD refluxed regularly until 6 months, and even now she still does it sometimes. It's totally normal. The GP prescribed her ranitidine, which helped to a degree. It's worth looking into if the constant posseting bothers you. I think the ranitidine bothered DD more to be honest, as it was quite bitter!

Does he seem in discomfort / pain and is he gaining weight? My eldest was a terribly pukey baby but he wasn’t in any obvious pain and gaining weight. I remember him puking up strawberry at a particular baby group so he must have been at least 6 months then. In the end he just grew out of it. Horrible while it lasted though. We would hold him upright for aaages after feeds, had muslins draped everywhere and sometimes the sick would come out of his nose which distressed him (and me). It did pass though I promise. He’s 8yo now and a healthy boy with no tendency to be sick. His younger brother was never sicky (or no more than average).
