this is a wierdy post but sorry. i don't really expect anyone to have a response to it either.

I don't know what to do with 9 oz of expressed milk. (in 3 oz portions)

DD is now 2. She wants to bf just about everytime she catches me sitting down. She has fallen in love with feeding all over again. having a proper affair with bf.

Dh took her on a 14 mile hike and they have been gone for near 12 hrs now. so i have had to express for comfort 2x today.

what the hell am i going to do with this milk? I hate to see it go down the drain. not so long ago, we offered her some in a bottle when i had a night out and she refused it.

anyone want some??

give it to her on her cereal or in a mug without comment as though it were cows' milk.

Are there any prem baby milk banks near you?

fearscape · 11/06/2007 10:26

Contact your local hospital / mw centre and ask if you can donate it to your nearest SCBU. If you freeze it the milk will keep for 3 months - after that, our SCBU pasteurised it and then kept it for another three months, so you have lots of time to do it!

They will want to blood test you before you donate to the local milk bank and it may not be worth the hassle

I would go down the cereal route or freeze it for later

I am afraid your milk is too old for milk banking - you need to start when baby is less than 6 months old and they stop taking it after a year.

I would put in in her breakfast

lol. my milk is too old. (but i make it up fresh everyday!} in her breakfast it goes then.
