Baby only taking one side

My lo has always preferred my left breast but now is ONLY taking my left side and has done for a month or so. There's now a huge difference in size.

My question is can I get the milk supply back in the right breast?

Will the size get back to normal?

Lo is 8 months now and still feeding every couple of hours (night and day) - a snacker. Could this be down to just using one breast?

Hi OP. my son (11mo) has always preferred my right side, maybe becuase it was more comfy for me to feed him from that side and therefore there's always been more supply. I still offer him my left side and he'll feed but not for as long. There's a size difference for me too and I remember asking my friend who had similar, she said both her boobs went back to the same size as before when she stopped bf.

As for supply it's a case of offering her that boob as much as possible and keeping up pumping if you want to keep the supply. You could always start her on your left and move her to your right after a minute or so. Then your right side let down should have started and she might just continue on feeding if you're quick.

Thank @Gimble. As you suggested I offered my weaker breast after a few minutes and lo took it! I'll do that every day now - thanks for the advice Smile

That's fantastic @Theorangeorange! The more she has that side the better as she'll get used to it and the supply should increase too. So pleased I could help.

How's the feeding going now @Theorangeorange?
