2 year old DS2 has been up every morning this week at 3am for milk. I have tried theJay Gordon method, I've tried cold turkey, and neither have worked. I just end up crying and shouting at my (crying and shouting) DS2.

I swear it wasn't this hard to night wean with DS1 Sad

That sounds a nightmare.
But he may be just thirsty? Has he had more water etc to drink through the day than normal - assuming you're having hot weather.

I keep offering him water instead and he refuses. Maybe his molars are coming through? I am so tired today.

How long has it been going on for OP? Can you give him lots of drinks and things like lollies, jelly, melon, cucumber and other water rich foods before bed? Has he got a silly cup with water that he can reach at night too?

ShackUp · 28/06/2018 16:05

Hi jjj - he's drinking a fair amount before bed but won't take a cup of water at night at all, and is properly beside himself when I refuse to feed him. It's tricky because feeding is agony at the moment for some reason, think it might be to do with ovulation restarting/periods returning.

I think you may need to get him to drink lots throughout the day but in this weather, he’s probably very thirsty.

What hapoened when you tried the Jay Gordon method if you don’t mind me asking?

ShackUp · 28/06/2018 19:12

Jay Gordon: he just kept waking at 3.45am screaming at the top of his lungs. He also keeps waking up frequently in the evening and can only be settled with a boob. I think the hot weather and light evenings/mornings are making things difficult.
