Formula advice

My daughter (3 weeks + 3 days old) is currently in Aldi Formula which she started from breast 4 days ago.
We were recommended Aldi formula by reading a thread on here. It just doesn't seem to fill her up - she had 5oz 90 mins ago and now she is having more - total so far 8oz in less than two hours. We are going to switch formula, but looking for recommendations on what formula will fill her up and not cause discomfort.
I would like to avoid 'hungry baby' formulas.
Thanks in advance!

A 3 week old baby has a tiny tummy and will have several growth spurts. Babies double in size in their first year.

Odds are this will happen whatever the feeding method.

Very young babies feed very frequently. At this age my dd fed practically hourly and I have no idea how much she had but it could well have been 8 oz (she was bf). Feed on demand and you'll be fine.

All formulas are pretty much the same.

Your baby is probably having a growth spurt which is why they are feeding frequently. It's nothing to do with the nutritional value of the formula.

All formulas are largely similar, and there are strict laws around this. Certainly when dd was a baby (6 years ago)!C&G and Aptamil were identical.

But anyway. Your baby is just getting as 3 week old babies should. Her stomach is teeny tiny. She needs feeding little and often. This was what newborns do.

I’d like to think there’s not much in it when it comes to first infant milk and brands. However, my baby went from breast to bottle at 9 weeks and struggles to keep anything other than Hipp Organic down. He’ll happily take whatever he’s given, but Hipp seems the easiest on his tummy. The added bonus is it’s actually a bit cheaper than aptimil etc

Out of interest did you switch to formula feeding instead of breastfeeding for similar reasons?

I agree with others, babies stomachs are still so so tiny, feeding them with formula or human milk is regardless.

Feeding on demand is your best way forward (via either method)

See picture which shows size of stomach at different ages

I switched to formula because I was very stressed feeding on demand without being able to get help from baby's dad. She was feeding so much I couldn't even shower and didn't have time to even express.
After speaking to both health visitor and midwife we decided it would be best for both baby to monitor what she is eating and also me for my own mental health.
I felt very guilty for swapping as there's a lot of pressure to breast feed but I feel three weeks have her the best start
