Speed of let down an issue but only in one breast, how do I change it?

DC is 2 weeks old and bf going well so far. However, my right breast has what I would say is a "normal" supply of milk/speed of let down etc whereas the left could feed the 5,000 and has a let down speed similar to the velocity of a fire hydrant. It's not pleasant for either of us.

He feeds alternately off either side so it's not like he's fed more off one.

Is there any way I can reduce the amount/speed on the left breast? I don't want to spend the next year or so with us both soaked in milk.

I had the same problem. I tried to use less ‘agressive’ boob twice as much as the one with the huge let down, but it didn’t work.
The only thing that helped was time, by about maybe 3-4 months either my let down slowed down, or her mouth became able to take it, but we werent all covered in milk. She never pulls off now during feeding like she did.
Have a muslin in your hand at all feeds and catch the milk when baby pulls off at fire hydrant let down
