Breastfed ds till 6 months, after that he had the odd bottle of formula here and there. He seemed to cut our daytime bf pretty quickly and he eats loads of solids, his sleep is crap though but I have never known whether he is comfort feeding or actually hungry. dh and I did a trial of bottles all night the other night as we're staying away without the kids next month. He was fine but did have a few bottles.

Anyway his naps have always been crap but I tried giving him formula before his nap today and he loved it and then slept for 2.5 hours Hmm. Has my supply been shit and he's just been hungry all this time?! This evening he kept bobbing on and off my boob and laughing and so dh gave him formula and he guzzled it down!

I'm really torn between accepting it's the end of bf for us or trying to persevere.

What do you mean by crap sleeping?

If he is 10 months and triving then your supply must be good.

Waking up lots, often hard to settle.

Well that's what I thought. Maybe he just prefers bottles then Sad

My ff baby woke up lots and was hard to settle. I think bottles are less work for sucking but everything babies do is always a phase. Ring LLL for advice from someone who knows what they are taking about but I am sure you will be able to keep breast feeding going. I would stop offering the bottle but I gave up bf at 6 weeks so I really don’t know what I am talking about.
