Bfing four month old and getting constant headaches?

Now I guess it could be the lack of sleep (or dealing with 2 year old ds1) but I seem to get a headache most days.

Just wondered if it might be to do with bfing - could I be missing something from my diet or something?

I'm trying to eat well and having a reasonable amount of water.

Anyone else had this? Any thoughts?

dehydration can cause a headache. You mention you drink reasonably but maybe its not enough if you are bf

Hiya Lummox, my passing thought when I read the title was dehydration - breastfeeding made me sooooooo unbelievably thirsty. How much are you drinking?

Someone more expert will be along in a minute, sorry that's not more helpful!

Thanks both - I am trying to drink as much as possible, but think that is probably not enough.

Does anyone know if mint/herbal tea counts towards water intake? Am not a great one for glasses of water.

Yes I think so, not sure about normal tea but herbal tea is basically hot coloured water isn't it?

I used to add an ice-cube of frozen lemon or lime to my water when bf, it made it much easier to drink than boring water.

Most fruit and veg are very high in water content, so add lots of those to your diet too!

My first thought when reading the thread title was dehydration as well....but it could equally be nothing to do with the bfing....have you had your eyes checked recently or your blood pressure? I would personally go to your GP to get checked out just in case...

Without meaning to lower the tone (banish the thought on MN!) if you're dehydrated, don't you produce a smaller amount of more concentrated yellow wee?

Does that sound familiar Lummox?
