Hi Everyone

I'm still trying to understand the app but I'm actually looking for ideas for lunches fo my 3yr old daughter to have at nursery. She doesn't really like full meals she is more of a picker. Also any dinner ideas for a 7 and 10yr old would be fantastic x

Hello and welcome to MN Thanks

Does your 3yo take packed lunches to Nursery? And by Dinner do you mean the evening meal only we have dinner about 12 noon around here Grin

Yes she does take pack lunch but she is very picky and when you t comes to dinner she doesn't have a lot to eat. I think how can she love on the amount she eats as she won't even eat breakfast.

My son (2.5yr) has hot meal for lunch at nursery but over the weekend I give him a cold lunch consisting of: half honey sandwich (used to be a savory ham or cheese sandwich but he'd eat the filling & bread separately anyway!), few slices of cheese or couple spoons of cottage cheese, few chopped grapes, slices of apple, slices of cucumber, a slice of ham and a yoghurt.

It covers most food groups, especially if you can get wholegrain bread in there (I can do this if use wholegrain pitta bread). Could add pieces of chicken. It's also varied and appeals to the picky-eater.

Afraid I can't advise on the evening meal as my 2 year old is my eldest but can they not eat what you eat? A korma curry (mild) with poppadoms is fun. Or a lasagne - if make yourself can throw lots of veg into it (same as if making any mince-sauce meal).
