He did it this morning as well. Really bloody hurt. And he laughed.

Bless.

My dd has just started biting - combined with a nursing strike... She now looks at me to say "how dare you try to put those things in my mouth - how VERY dare you!" Followed by a swift nip.

ouch, don't let him think its funny

MaeWest · 25/04/2007 21:08

I did the squashing into my boob thing and tried not to shout, but I could see him giggling...

yes i was told it was but as he got more teeth ppl told me to stop feeding but he wont give it up and he does not really bite anymore but now and again in his sleeep he does it and boy i scream

mamijacacalys · 25/04/2007 21:19

DD had her first teeth at 6 months. She bit me 2 or 3 times (due to the annoying pain of the teething I think) but I took her off and said no firmly.
She hasn't bitten me since and is now almost 10 months (with 6 teeth!)

FWIW, DS started biting at 14 months and I took this as a sign he was self-weaning as taking him off or pulling him in close didn't work. Plus we were down to only 1 or 2 feeds a day.

HTH [ouch emoticon]

The thing is - we say 'No' to him with a firm voice when he's doing something like hair pulling, nose poking or headbutting (honestly, he's a right little charmer ) he laughs his head off.

I agree with mam, take him off the boob and then say 'no' - he'll soon learn, it worked with dd too... good luck, I remember it well
