I'm still breastfeeding recently turned 1 year old but am confused about what happens now... I stupidly didn't ask at the one year check up, too caught up talking about other things!
He is finally eating solids well, usually managing 3 meals a day plus snacks, he still has 1 night feed (refuses to go back to sleep without it) but otherwise his breast feeds have reduced and I feel I'm producing less milk, though am still offering regularly and am feeding on demand. Am I supposed to be giving him cows milk on top of on demand breast feeds or just if I stop breastfeeding? Also, if I do stop breast feeding, what is the minimum requirement of cows milk/dairy a day? I believe they're not supposed to have over 12oz a day but there's no risk of my little one doing that, he only tends to have a few sips here and there from a cup/bottle, even with water (although is more interested in that), and I don't think this will change a great deal once I stop breast feeding either.
If I can't get him to drink the required amounts of milk, what measurements of yoghurt/alternative dairy should I be using instead??
Sorry, loads of questions!
