A little support

Hi, new here but been following other threads and it's always so positive that I thought I would take the brave step for me and post.
I gave birth naturally with zero pain relief to our second girl a week ago. I have been breastfeeding her since. I breast fed successfully our first for over a year, but this one is different and I'm really struggling. She is near constant at the breast at night, and most of the day. I feel, in my experience, she is getting a good latch. Her poo is now yellow green and she is definitely swallowing. She jus seems to want to go from one to another to another, even if the first was a good heavy feed.
My first fed slept fed again, so this is an entirely new experience and I've no idea if it is normal for the a new born and whether it will settle. She has gained a little weight on first weigh in.
As with all new parents I'm exhausted and feel like I'm a rubbish mum to our other daughter just feeding all the time. I just want to cry..
I'm sorry for the moan, I'm after some guidance and support as I feel a little lost to say the least.
Thank you.

Hi OP, first of all congratulations!
With the breastfeeding - I had a constant feeder too. He was at the breast what felt like all the time. I never understood why newborns were described as 'sleepy', nor did I understand how anyone ever left the house as I spent the first few weeks topless on the sofa feeding my hungry boy! For him, it was normal. He had lots of wet / dirty nappies and gained weight very well so I wasn't concerned. If nappy output and weight gain are going well for your baby, then I expect she is simply establishing a good supply and comfort sucking (perhaps consider trying a dummy in a couple of weeks although DS would never take one). It may be worth getting your midwife to check latch and positioning just to be sure milk is transferring efficiently. When you do feel up to it, maybe pop along to your local breastfeeding support group (have a look on Facebook for what's near you or midwife/HV may be able to advise) for some moral support. Otherwise, make sure you are resting when you can (I recommend co-sleeping), eating lots and getting as much help as possible from friends / family. Obviously, if you have concerns such as tongue tie or reflux then get baby seen ASAP. Good luck!
