Night feeding bf baby

My litte boy is now 10 weeks old and I'm EBF him. he's started to sleep through the night anything from 5/7 hours. He feeds just before he goes to sleep which leaves my boobs feeling quite flat. the problem I have is then when I wake up I'm dripping in milk there is so much of it. I can't pump as he always feeds before bed and when I try to pump only a drip comes out obs I put loads of breast pads on but they don't seem much use tbh . Any suggestions ?

It passes and your body will begin to regulate the amount of milk. It's uncomfortable but it will sort itself out. Promise! I used to sleep with a towel underneath me and one shoved up my pj top! (With a spare pj top on hand).

Lying on a towel is my solution to this. You should adjust though and your boobs will get used to that gap so it shouldn't be a problem for too long.

If it does continue longer than you'd like you could try dream feeding if your baby will take any milk whilst asleep. It'll obviously prevent you adjusting to that long a gap but might take the edge off.

At 10 weeks he's most likely just fine through a growth spurt which will have upped your supply. With a change in sleeping patterns it'll take a couple of days for your supply to regulate. Have you tried reusable breast pads, a lot of ladies swear by them. I always found boots own brand best for me.

Have you tried Lansinoh breast pads? They're bloody amazing. Try wearing a reusable bamboo pad and a disposable behind it, then change to just a fresh disposable when you've fed.

If your baby has only just started sleeping longer over night, I reckon your body just needs a few days to regulate your supply. As others say, a towel on your bed to catch the milk might stop your mattress getting soaked.
Enjoy the longer stretches of sleep!
