Does anyone know where I can get parts for the above, I only got it when ds2 was born 14 weeks ago and now I am starting to want to give him a few bottles I want to use it, unfortunatly, it has a few bits that can't go in a microwave steraliser, and dp has thrown them out as I left them on the side (prat).
I have looked for maws website but can't seem to find it. Thanks if anyone can help!

what parts do you need?

motherinferior · 14/07/2004 08:58

Sorry, it's the only type of pump I've never tried. Is it new? How interesting. How does it work?

(MI v sad person shock horror...)

spikey, dunno about maws, but avent were v clued-up on spares for their pumps, my one got stress fractures i used it so much

can't believe that MI hasn't heard of yours...

boots are seeling the whole pump system for £12.50 at the moment....maybe it would be cheaper to got one like that? It all depends on what parts you need? Have you tried ringing maws helpline?

spikeycat · 14/07/2004 11:54

Thats the one I got from boots! I need the parts that can't be steralised in the mocrowave. To be honest I have only used it once and it hurt a bit, but after buying 3 medela (think thats what they were called) electric ones and taking them back as they all broke I gave up on the electric and got this one from boots.
I would phone maws helpline if I could find the blasted number or website

Spikeycat, I just looked the system up on the net - it's the same as the Boots own brand, isn't it. If you say it hurt, I agree - it's also horribly fiddly, isn't it - personally if you're having problems I'd just go for the Avent, which is a bit pricier but gentler.

OK, I'll bog off and mind my own business now.

I agree with motherinferior about going for an Avent Isis if it would be affordable for you to do so. I would imagine even one of the Medela hand pumps would be preferable to the Maws. Maws was the first one I tried and it nearly put an end to me expressing! I found it painful and unnatural, certainly in comparison to the Avent. I had a google for their (Maws) contact details too, to no avail.
