Would really appreciate some advice. My 13 week old has alwayys been a good feeder, and has gradually increased his feed size in line with his weight (sometimes taking a little more than guidelines). At last weigh in with HV he was 12lb 10. Has started to decrease his feed size by around 100ml and I don't know why. He is regularly now short of the recommended amount of food for his weight (based on the 2.5 oz per pound of body weight) It is normally the midmorning or lunchtime feed that has become small. Is this normal around 3 months? Am worried he will start waking up at night again. HV suggested SMA white but I thought this was for hungry babies? Have also heard horror stories from people who wished they had not switched. Thanks.

Hi There!
I've just joined to ask the same questions! I don't have an answer for you but can empathise!
My wee one is only 8 weeks old, putting on weight but her feeds vary dramatically from bottles of 40mls to 120 mls. HV clinic yesterday said not to worry but it's hard as a new mum! I presume you are bottle feeding too as you know how many mls baba is taking. I would say as long as he is peeing plenty and pooing these are good signs. Sorry I'm not much help but good luck! x

my ds's intake regularly fluctuates. He would take extra and I would make up bigger bottles only for him to start taking less again! You will probably find his intake starts to increase again but only when you least expect it.

Thanks - am probably reading too much into it. Just feel like we are going backwards!
