My left breast feels empty... help

I'm exclusively breastfeeding my twins who were born premature at 31 weeks they are now 5 weeks old.
My breasts have been producing crazy amounts of milk (to the point where I've donated lots of milk via nicu) however since yesterday my left breast feels empty... why?
When I squeeze it milk comes out but I'm now worried one twin won't get enough.
I change each twin to the other breast on each feed and feed of them the same but the right boob has milk pouring from it.
What should I do to help?
Thanks

It might be that the left boob has just settled down to the right level of milk production. If milk is coming out when you squeeze its clearly not empty. After bfing for two years, my boobs got to the point where they never felt full but my toddler was always able to feed. I would just keep an eye and see how things go. Can you record the length of feeds for a while just to hopefully reassure yourself?

Don't worry, your boobs try to provide exactly how much is needed - the bigger the demand the bigger the supply - when babies have a growth spurt and feed more, more milk is produced, but when feeding is more steady, they drop back to match supply to demand.

Your boob won't fully empty - you'll just make more milk - we're clever like that. Just try to keep feeding equally and it should sort itself out.

And at the risk of sounding patronising, well done on feeding twins - that's a lot of time and devotion.

Thank you!
It's tiring but worth it!
I've also been using a nipple shield as the babies are still very small so im worried as I've read it can reduce milk production do you think I should worry about that or just continue as I am? X

Personally I'm not a fan of nipple shields, but lots of people use them. I'm afraid I don't know if they affect supply.
