6 week fussing at breast

My 6 week baby is breastfed and we've both been doing well with it until now. For the last couple of days he's really been fighting at the breast, pushing away with his hands and crying. It was mainly in the evening which led me to think it may be because there a lower milk supply later in the day, but then was doing this at his morning feed today too. Once he's latched on his usually ok but he also pulls off occasionally and fusses all over again.

Any idea why he's fussing suddenly, and is it a phase?

Is he arching his back? Could be wind. My DD started doing this quite often and found she has been better when using infacol.

Not arching his back but more frantic head bobbing at the boob but not really latching on and kicking and pushing the breast away. He does burp after a while if I sit him up for a bit but it doesn't seem to stop the fussiness.

He is a very sicky baby though and possets what seems like loads of milk if he is not burped and sat up for a long time after feeds, wondering if it's related somehow?

Deffo sounds as if he's uncomfortable - it's a phase, most babies do this from time to time, and taking him off to wind might well help, though he will almost certainly get better. Some mothers find it's to do with their let down being forceful (fire hose effect overwhelms the baby - mid feed sometimes, too). Could this be it?

He has been spluttering on and off esp during morning feeds - I feed him cradle hold but I have tried lying back, it hasn't helped a lot though to be honest, he still pulled off coughing a few times this morning. Any idea what else I can do to slow the flow?
