Poor you. Sounds horrible. Not sure how the drugs will affect milk. Paracetamol wont at all, neither will Gaviscon but not sure about Mg.
Your milk supply should be fine as long as you still manage to feed on demand and are eating protein rich foods. Try snacking on cheese and boiled eggs to keep up your supply and rest. (daft thing to say I know)
Well done for perservering throught the hardest weeks of breats feeding, it gets easier from here in.
Get well soon

Sounds like you've got it all under control. I'm sure the acid cant pass into breast milk as you dont absorb it into your blood stream and thats the only way it could get into your milk.
Glad baby is well and hope you've recovered from your section.

Twiglett - I'm really sorry you're suffering like this but strangely glad that I'm not the only one! I have had dreadful gastric pains since having DS2 (10m ago) They are settling down now with medication probably similar to yours. I found that the day after an attack (usually happen at night) DS2 was always a bit fretful which I thought was the acid passing on to him through bm but then someone pointed out that he gets the medication as well so maybe that helps.
If it helps you, mine calmed down when DS2 went onto solids and I was feeding less although I still have to be careful of what I eat in the evening - no red wine at all as that really hurts

No - didn't have a section - really easy birth and no complications. Awful gastric thing kicked in about 2 weeks afterwards.
Basically I find that I can't have red wine, any alcohol on an empty stomach (i.e. drink before meal etc), chocolate, peppers and really hot curries. chillis etc. I also find that not eating late at night helps and not eating too much in the evening. Also, not wearing tight clothes - sounds a bit weird but it was all affecting it. the other thing is not to worry about it as I found that being anxious makes it worse.
Poor you - I really feel for you - I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! Hang in there
