DD is 8 months and has always been formula fed. She's never been a very hungry baby, only cried for feeds a handful of times as a newborn and has never drunk more than 180ml at a time; this was always a bonus, she plateaued at 150ml from about 4 months onwards.
She's been on 3 meals a day for the last few months and LOVES solids. We've naturally dropped some of the milk feeds as a result, and she's now on 150ml bottles at 7am, 3pm, 6:30/7pm and 10pm. However for the last month or so she just isn't interested and never finishes a bottle, the average is about 90ml but the 3pm one she sometimes refuses completely.
I am aware that she is not getting anywhere near the recommended amount of milk per day so she is having vitamin drops and as much calcium as I can get into her diet (milk in cereal, yoghurt, cheese sauce, high-calcium veg etc.). Sadly the health visitors in my local clinic are either incredibly judgy (one told me I was going to give her an eating disorder?!!!) or inexperienced, so I thought I'd ask here! I'd love to drop the dream feed and I think she's ready, but she usually drinks the majority of this bottle because she's half asleep, meaning I'm getting a good 120ml in to her without any hassle. So what do I do? Carry on with it because it means she's getting milk, or stop because she's ready to drop it?
