Hey everyone..

Expecting my little one soon and was considering buying formula in bulk.

How long are the expiration dates usually on them (obviously not when they've been opened when they are sealed and bought new).

Usually a good few months but I'm not sure what the benefit of buying in bulk is, as it's no cheaper. Also, you may end up needing a different formula (for reflux or CMPI for example) so everything you bought would be wasted. A carton lasts a good couple of weeks as a newborn, just keep one spare.

One bit of advice, check which brand your local/usual shop sells and pick that one to use. I planned to breastfeed, ended up having to formula feed and used cow and gate as that was the first thing I was offered by the midwives. I usually shop in Aldi and my local one only sells SMA so I have to go to another shop specifically to buy formula, which is a total pain.

Don't buy formula in bulk! Your little one may not agree with that brand or end up having to switch to colic or reflux milk.
You can't get it on offer so it serves no purpose in bulk buying. You can always stick the money on a store card and then you've not spent it?
Just check what milk you local late night shop sells then if you manage to drop and entire new tub of formula you can dash out and grab the right one.

My sister stockpiled and my niece was discovered to have a lactose intolerance so is on prescription formulae. Managed to sell in the bulk of it but wasted a lot of money. I'd buy or tub or two.
