Frozen ebm - how should childminder store it/how long?

I have a fair bit of EBM in my freezer and was planning to have my childminder feed it to ds when he starts with her in early March but am not sure about rules for safe storage etc once it's been defrosted. She will be out and about with him quite a lot so keeping it in her fridge till it can be fully defrosted may not always be feasible. He would have probably two feeds with her, around 11am and 3pm, and I will drop him off at 8am. How should I give it to her, frozen or defrosted overnight in the fridge? And what should I tell her to do with it to get it ready for ds? He doesn't seem too fussy about temperature.

I have looked at the LLL website recommendations for EBM storage but can't find anything that covers defrosted milk.

I would imagine that if you freeze it straight away then take defrost overnight in fridge, it would be good for the following day?

Don't know what the 'official' recommendations are, if any.

Had a quick gander and 24hrs after defrosting seems the rule.

And LLL say

Thawed Milk

If milk has been frozen and thawed, it can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours for later use. It should not be refrozen. It is not known whether milk that is left in the bottle after a feeding can be safely kept until the next feeding or if it should be discarded.

thanks v much for that ceolas. Seems to be only 4 hours at room temp once it's been defrosted, so guess I have to give fresh ebm for the 3pm feed.

What about one frozen and one defrosted? the frozen one would be defrosted by the 3pm feed then?

oh that's true! (duh). Would have thought it would be OK for it to defrost at room temp if it was going to be fed within a few hours. Thanks for pointing out the obvious
