13 weeks, in too much pain to feed?!

Dd had her second lot of jabs on Thursday and since them she's been periodically having episodes of inconsolable crying and seeming like she is in pain. She is arching and jerking her whole body and screaming. It's not like her at all, she is normally very relaxed with occasional reflux/bad wind but nothing as extreme as this before.
She seems like she wants to feed but latches on for one second then pulls off and screams in pain again.
We were quite worried so have brought her to a&e as it's so out of character. She finally went to sleep in the car (all other ways of getting her to sleep had failed anyway) and we're currently waiting to be seen by the Dr. She's since woken up and had a big feed and seems much better, though still doung some jerking and seems a bit uncomfortable.
She's also quite dribbly and chewing her fists a lot so I guess she could also be teething but not sure.
We've just never seen her like this, it's so unusual. I imagine (and hope!) the Dr will say she's fine, but just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what it could be?

You're in the best place. Hope she is feeling better soon. Xx

I'm a bit sleepy but didn't want to leave you unanswered. I'm pretty sure that screaming like that is a side effect of one of the jabs.
Off for a quick google- will be back Flowers

Yes, NHS website has abnormal crying as a side effect. Right to get checked out but it definitely might just be the jabs. Hope she settles soon and all is ok

They think it may be an intercepted bowel but not sure. It's something dp had when he was four. Bit scary but at least we are here, she's being kept in for observations for now.

Oh bless you, hope she gets better quickly Flowers

It's not that thankfully! Phew... Looks like it could have been a bad reaction to the jabs.

Oh good! You all must be exhausted. It's so awful when they are ill. DS was in hospital at 6 weeks old and it was just so horrible- I still feel anxious when I think about it now and he's nearly 2!
Hope you all manage to get some rest and she's back to normal nice and quickly

OhWhatAPalaver · 18/09/2016 18:16

Thanks, we're looking forward to going home and getting some rest! :)
