My diet and windy baby

DD is 4 weeks, and suffers a bit from wind especially late evening. I am using infacol. Some days seem worse than others, so it may be down to what I am eating. Is there any food that anyone else has noticed a problem with? I vaguely remember being told that orange juice caused wind for bf babies - old wive's tale or true?

Old wives, LadyT - no evidence for this, and no reason why it would.

If you ask which food individuals feel they have had a problem with, you'll get a l....o....n....g list!

If you can be bothered you could keep a food diary.

If by 'wind' you mean crying unless held, cuddled and/or fed, then it is not your diet ;)

I can hear the wind shooting through her intestines. I think it bothers her because she cries for a while, then farts, then relaxes, and it starts again. She'll fall asleep but wake every 15 mins or so. This goes on for a couple of hours, and then she sleeps ok after that.

I am bf and bottle feeding - so whether

i had yhe same question and was told that dairy was sometimes a culprit. i have removed it from my diet for the time beimg and the last 2 nights were great. didnt have to give her gas medicine once. some babies seem to be more sensitive to their mums diet than others. food diary is a good suggestion.
