It's gone 1.30am I've been BF my DD (9 days old) for the past 3 hours and she's still not going to sleep. Please someone tell me this will end soon Sad

Most breastfeed babies don't need winding. A hold upright as they switch to the other side or a cuddle at the end of the feed. They tend not to need winding as a good latch suck action won't be letting air in.

That's what I was lead to believe ICjump but she does get a little wind so I tend to keep her stretched out on my lap until I'm happy she's not in any discomfort.

Oh this brings back memories. I'd forgotten those early weeks. I'm about to do it all again.

Best thing I did was learn to feed lying down.

I really had to persevere with winding. Took soooo long sometimes, patting, rubbing, twisting him and rocking. Very often it was when me and DH passed him to each other that we would get that manly belch we'd been waiting for.

It does pass, and you will forget all about it and lose the plot momentarily and have another
