I have an odd question, which I want your opinons on.

My neices are 9 yrs and older one nearly 11.
If they are poorly they are tucked up in bed with a warm bottle of milk.

At first I was a bit shocked. Then sort of shrugged my shoulders a bit.
I do have a cast experience of bottle feeding, but mainly while caring for other peoples children.
I was always of the opinon that a childs comfort is important, and like the french dont believe in snatching bottles away at the exat age of one year.

My four children were breast fed for quite a long time ( in my view) my youngest stopped at 2 1/2yrs.

However , I do find the bottle aspect at such a age a little odd.
Not really harming, but its certainly a different way of parenting .

What are your opinons?

The only real argument against longterm bottlefeeding, is, it's bad for the teeth (particularly last thing at night). But if this is just a very occassional thing, I don't actually see the harm.
