Nearly 9 month old refuses a bottle

My nearly 9 month old has been exclusively breastfed since birth, and now I am trying to get him to take a bottle he point blank refuses! I don't know what to do, I have tried different bottles, different formulas, expressing, husband feeding him, everything I can think of! I am restarting medication next month that means I will not be able to feed him so I really need something to work! Any advice or support would be gratefully received!

Does he have a sippy cup for water?
I skipped past bottles when I was introducing formula around that age and just gave milk in a sippy cup. The bottle didn't have the comfort factor it does for bottle fed babies anyway.

Thanks for the reply :) he does have a sippy cup but to be honest he's not very keen on that either. He doesn't seem to know what to do with them! He drinks from a cup but that doesn't seem like the most efficient way for him to milk. Really confused at the moment.

How many meals does he eat? Could you drop the milk feeds. Just give milk in a soppy cup and if he doesn't drink it then no problems

He has 3 meals and snacks, 2 milk feeds during the day, then one at bedtime and 2 through the night. That is another issue entirely! Hoping that he will start to sleep through if I can get him to take formula! He is quite small so dont think no milk would be good for him. I will definitely try with the silly cup tomorrow

Mine more or less skipped bottles and went straight to sippy cup. However he's not too keen on milk from the cup either, only water. Others may disagree with this approach but when dh (sahd) needs to give him his milk during the day (I express at work and bring it home) he does so by mixing with some baby rice and feeding him it. Then he gets his fluids with extra water.
