Reynauds? Wooly breastpads?

I think that I get Reynauds in my nipples when breastfeeding and in winter (or any chilly situation) they really let me know about it. I wonder whether woollen breastpads would keep them warm and reduce the reaction to cold. Any experiences?

Also, I have seen in a catalogue somewhere wool and silk breastpads, but can't remember which catalogue. Again, anyone know what I'm talking about?

Scroll down this page for various combinations of silk and wool breastpads.

I've never found anything to ease it - I started with it when I was pregnant, and still have it now ... and dd is 5.5. I tried woolly breastpads, silky ones, shoving everything from tissue paper to sanitary towels down my bra - nothing helps.

Someone suggested to me recently that ginkho would be a good supplement to try, as it can improve the circulation, but I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks, JackieNo.

No thanks, WWB! Does keeping the nips warm really not help at all? Do the silk/wool breastpads not increase your comfort at least?

Sorry, I know it's not what you wanted to hear but I really haven't found anything like that helpful. The only thing that helps is not getting cold in the first place - which is ever so difficult.

That's a good tip, though. I don't bother with pjs as night feeds are easier without and it's warm enough under the quilt, but of course the loo-dash is therefore very chilly - maybe that contributes to the blanching, so I'll try pjs or dressing-gown for a few nights, see if it helps.
