Green Poo, like grass, from 17 week BF DD ?

...is this ok ? it's not all the time, but over the last week she's had a nappy that looks likes regurgitated grass.

The only thing I have been doing differently is adding sweet hot pepper sauce to food..would it make a difference, or is it too much foremilk ?

Is her weight gain ok? Is she generally happy?

If so, I wouldn't worry about the green poo. It almost certainly deserves to be filed under "Babies are Weird, they do things just to confuse us".

Please keep enjoying your sweet hot pepper sauce.

well, weight gain is about 4-6 oz week, she has chubby little thighs, settles well at night )a bit tricky during the day though). Generally a happy little girl.

Today I have had 2 cups of perculated jamaican coffee (too much caffeine ?) & she's had a bit of back arching, which I've not noticed before.

Aaaaahhh the days of green-grass poo! Was also familiar with broccoli soup, stewed spinach and other vile green things that it resembled.

My DD1 had green poo virtually non-stop from that age which I felt was due to the DTP immunisations (as it had all started to go a bit green from when those started). She was otherwise well and whilst at the time I bore everyone rigid with my constant questions and concerns about it I was assured by my HV, my GP, my bro ( a paediatritian) and my FIL (a GP) and countless MN'ers too that it was a totally normal thing in BF'd babies. She remained very well and it all sorted itself out once I started her on solids at 22 weeks.

Don't worry about it.

my ds' poo was like this a lot (he was v windy but not sure whether the two were connected), it never failed to shock! he was fine in all other respects though and it settled down after he was six months or so i think. i used to omit certain foods then start again and it made no odds.

Another green pooher here! DS2 has regular green ppohs - sometimes they're even yellow and green stripes - hes very talented!

Ditto NQC.

Both mine did all sorts of coloured poos. As long as it's coming fairly regularly and your DD is generally content, I wouldn't worry.

Wait until she's weaned. Then it becomes much more varied and stinky.....![nose pinching emoticon]
