Breastfeeding munchies

Hi all, DD2 is 3 weeks old and EBF. She's gaining well, feeding regularly (mostly during the day) but I'm constantly hungry. I also BF DD1 but only really found myself hungry during night feeds. I'm worried that I won't lose my pregnancy weight and want to keep my supply up. Does anyone have any tips/snack ideas for dealing with breast feeding munchies. TIA!

Make or buy a tin of flapjack. Tasty, filling and oats are good for milk supply and will last for a while. Add dried fruit, nuts and seeds to make more of a granola bar if you want something healthier.

Second flapjacks. M&S ones are particularly lovely.

When I gave birth I was a tiny bit lighter than when I got pregnant - ie no baby weight. By the time they were 12 months old (yes I did it twice) I was 2 stones heavier. I empathise OP, I was just starving. Honey sandwiches were my downfall, I do not recommend them!

I have nothing helpful to add, I would have eaten anything I was so hungry!

I used to keep nature valley oat bars by the bed in case I was trapped feeding and couldn't get downstairs for food. Make sure you are drinking lots too Smile

I find savoury carbs eg breadsticks are great. Smile I eat the extra 500 call a day, my dd is tiny and I STILL lost too much weight and got myself a bit run down so don't starve yourself you'll just feel rough. Make a little box up before bed and have nutritious drinks like cocoa or milky tea.
I'm such a mum now lol.

I put on two stone due to breastfeeding hunger! Peanut butter and chocolate spread on toast was the culprit! Amazing! I have banned myself from it now and the weight has been coming off .
DS was large (10lb9 at birth) and fed constantly so I was starving! If I didn't eat I felt faint so couldn't do anything about it!

Flapjacks are brilliant and just try to make sure you have healthy things to grab - not peanut butter!
