Tips for increasing milk supply quickly

My baby is 6 weeks old. For the last 3 weeks I've been having problems with blocked milk ducts in one breast. Everyone I asked for advice said I should feed as much as possible from the blocked side and consequently I think that my supply has reduced in the other breast. Yesterday I was diagnosed with a breast abscess in the blocked breast and advised to stop feeding from that side until it is treated. My baby seems very hungry and unsatisfied now that I'm down to one breast. We topped up with formula last night (Cow and Gate ready mixed formula) but it seemed to give her a tummy ache, as it did the one other time we gave her formula. Does anyone have any tips for increasing supply quickly or for brands of formula that are less likely to disagree with her? Thank you.

Please get some other advise and phone one of the helplines or a lactation consultant I would have thought stopping feeding on the infected breaSt would be the worst thing for you to do as it would cause more milk to sit around and potentially become infected etc.

I'm expressing milk from the infected side as frequently as I can, I'm just not giving it to the baby because the doctor said there might be pus in it and could explain why she's been a bit sicky this week. The milk in the breast pump looks a bit cuddled and unpleasant so I feel awful for giving it to her before.

I meant curdled, not cuddled. Stupid autocorrect.
