Baby will not eat

1 year old (just). I know babies will not starve themselves but she has gone from eating relatively well to spitting everything out and refusing.

She has been off colour with all sorts of bugs most of the last four months. Each time she stops eating completely. Then when she recovers she may have two or so mouthfuls maximum.

She is losing weight but had a bit of excess so I'm not that worried yet. Just don't know how to rekindle pleasure in eating.

This is dc 4 btw so I'm relatively good at sneaking nutrition in normally.

Is she still taking milk? Could you do a speeded up weaning process again with her, starting with cups of smoothies, soups etc?

How is she with finger foods,
I'd try some baking, cheese strings, fruit busicuits they are easy one bite snacks which you can make not to unhealthy, and they can help a little, plus mine can't resist eating some of busicuit dough!
And generally have her with you (in a hih chair) when you are cooking and give her little tastes as you go along, even things you wouldn't normally eat raw (provided its safe of course).

Assume you've checked she isn't teething.

She is teething but it's been going on so long now I've discounted that.

I wondered about starting weaning again. This morning she had two mouthfuls of porridge. Lunch was a total refusal. Tonight she had two mouthfuls of mashed sweet potato and that was that. Turned down a chocolate button.

She was breastfed until 11 months. Taking bottles now but even those not very enthusiastically.

I also leave snacks and fruit in reach all the time so mine can get himself something when he fancies.

Have you tried cups rather than bottles?

If she looks like she wants to eat but then stops after a mouthful id assume she is in some pain (mouth or tummy) and give a painkiller or/and go to the dr.
