Me again. Really struggling with 6 mo DD at the moment and I'm hoping someone can help!

We've been cosleeping for the past few weeks as she wakes when we transfer her to the cosleeper bedside cot (not always, but maybe 75% of the time). She generally is asleep by 8pm (bedtime loads earlier but she's stopped feeding to sleep - see my other thread), wakes 9pm, 10/11pm, 2/3am, 4am, 5am, 6am and 7am. I try to feed her back to sleep each time, it sometimes works but sometimes she's just drowsy for ages and still sucking. We only do nighttime nappy changes if there's a poo. Her morning nappy is massively heavy.

During the day I offer the breast loads, feed when drowsy, feed in a quiet dark boring room etc but she rarely feeds for longer than 5 mins. I don't have any other children and it's not like we're out all the time...any ideas why she is doing this and how I can get her to take more during the day? When this all started I don't think she was waking up hungry in the night but now she's definitely feeding more at night (by the weight of her nappies). I'm exhausted!

Sorry for the long rambly post...

Have been in the same boat recently with 6.5 month old DD2. My days are a bit hectic with a toddler so I understand why she gets so distracted; making up for it at night is exhausting though.

There is a growth spurt around now; just a heads up. I think (fingers crossed) we've just come out of it. Last week it was 7, 8, countless feeds a night. Last few nights just 2 or 3 which was a hell of a lot more manageable!

All things will pass… xx

DD2 has also just learned how to crawl (well wriggle along the floor) so maybe she was just going haywire before she worked out how??

Thanks weebairn that's reassuring to hear. Hope you're catching up on some lovely sleep now! DD is desperate to get crawling and so frustrated at the moment!! She just rolls everywhere instead.
