Best cup at 6+

My dd will be weaning soon. Currently she is breastfed with a bottle before bed. I want to get rid of the bottle and give her a cup instead but have no idea what sort I should be looking for. Surely a normal cup is out of the question as there will be milk everywhere?!

Avent spouts - "grown up" drinking, but with a valve, so it doesn't all spill when your LO shakes the bottle or knocks it over.

Oooh having look at that. On the website it says 12+ so I wonder if it might be a bit tricky for her. Is a Sippy cup just a beaker with a spout? she's my first so I'm new to all of this. Sticking her on the boob has been the easiest!!

from 6 months I offered water in a cup and used the tommee tippee first cup with a flip up spout. It is suitable from 4 months. I didn't offer milk in a cup until later on

There are avent spouts suitable from a younger age as I used them at some points too

The white avent ones are from 6 months

Just reread your OP. If you are just thinking about the evening bottle you don't really need to change to a cup. My dcs had baby bottles for milk in the morning until they were 3.

If you want to offer a drink with a meal, or at another time, I do recommend he avent ones. You can buy the handles and the teats separately and mix and match.

Mam do similar valved cups - boots sell them.

DD also adores this £1 one from ikea. Not valve so a bit messy. I use it with cool boiled water with solid food (she's 6 1/2 months). Smile

You don't need to boil water for drinking from 6 months so you could give it straight from the tap
