Poo/solids question

I know their poo changes just not how fast and I tend to get anxious. I think I'm becoming a bit fixated on allergies and looking for them.

DD is 6 months, bf and just starting first foods. Yesterday she had banana and avocado, today she has had some corn/rice based breakfast cereal (which contains skim milk powder) and some carrot.

She did a poo. It looks like the 2nd poo in this link but with carrot not banana traces: www.homemade-baby-food-recipes.com/photo-of-black-worms-in-baby-poo.html

Ie like a milk fed baby poo.
Should it still be like that?
Also I know I shouldn't google on other sites they said a shiny poo is a slimy poo = allergy! Shock And bits of food = digestive issues. Shock
What does "slime" look like anyway?

Argh she just pooed again! Have I made her ill? ??
I've been inspecting her for rashes - she seems clear skinned, content and soft bellied.

I've eaten dairy all the time I bfed her and she's never had any colic or reflux.

Stop examining the poo! It changes gradually. Especially if having puree or smooth food. DS first noticeable poo was bf poo with flecks of broccoli (I remember cos it was proof he'd swallowed some)

The stuff about lumps is bollocks. All baby poo has bits in. And banana can look like a scary case of black worms.Grin

Ok thanks! Smile

I find the description "slimy" really vague online. Slimy in creamy/glossy bf poo is hard to spot.

She's in no discomfort so I think I should go by that and weight gain!

Leave her poo alone!!

she seems clear skinned, content and soft bellied.

All sound good. She probably is perfectly content and happy. You will have lots of interesting poo to deal with in the coming months. Ds's first tuna and sweetcorn was particularly memorable!
