How can I make her feed more in the day?

I have been on here every month so far with my little one

Since she's been born she has not been a big feeder and feeds under 10 mins. In the last couple of months she only feeds sometimes a few mins on one breast and refuses any more. During the day she feeds roughly every three hours or sometimes two.

Since last week she has been feeding three times a night which is killing me 11pm, 3am, 5am. With these feeds she feeds from both breasts five mins each - her longest feeds out of the 24 hours. This is because she is so nosey and during the day wants to see what is going on around her In the day I try to feed her in the bedroom as much as possible for least distraction but she even gets distracted by reflections on the wall and pulls off to observe.

Problem is since these three feeds in the night she is not hungry enough for her usual 7am feed and somtimes refuses any until 9am or later and then only has a few minutes. So her biggest feeds right now are in the night?

How can I change this?

Should I just refuse to feed her in the night or is this cruel?

I started to wean her a few weeks ago all very gradual. She has pureed fruit in the morning and veg at dinner. I always offer breast first.

She is really into eating and tries to grab my food all the time so as soon as she hits 6 mths I will introduce dairy. Maybe she is one of those babies that are not really into milk feeds and find it tiresome.

I am just worried she is not getting all the nutrition she needs.

Any ideas?

By the way I weaned her at 21 weeksas she showed all the signs plus had reflux which has since stopped.

Hmm. fruit and veg has less calories than milk, so if she is gobbling that in the day, it may be filling her up too much, so she doesn't take the milk she needs, so she wakes up at night for it?

My ds2 is exactly the same, his sleep improved 10 flod when he was old enough to try something other than fruit.

my ds went through this too. it's just cause they're so nosey and are too 'busy' to eat during the day. it passes...eventaully!
