hi - was just feeding my ds earlier who is almost 5mths and noticed as he was feeding milk coming out of one of his nostrils

i stopped feeding and tried again and same thing happened - worried i tried him on other side and nothing! he seems fine but have never had this before with ds or with dd and slightly concerned - any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

The nose and throat are closely connected-- wouldn't worry unless happens all the time

Normal - happens to everyone. I'm surprised you have never noticed before!

It's like when you laugh or sneeze after taking a swig of tea/coffee/cola

On the other hand.......is this a trickle rather than a splurt?

Could be a tiny cleft - get the HV's opinion on this.

Mank thanks for the quick replies!

In the past if i noticed milk at nose i just assumed that they had took too much and overspilled! But i was sitting in a different position and could see and noticed "drips" from nose - never thought of it like that doh! and thanks again for reassurance.

I thought that with no 2 i would be a bf pro but i think i have asked more questions this time around-probably cos of finding this site
