she wolfs down 6 oz of milk and is full up then, breakfast isn't very successful at all. The only other milk she has is the same amount at bedtime.

what have other people done?

What time gap do you have between bottle & brekkie?

lucycat · 12/10/2006 12:49

at 18 months my dd's were having their cup of milk with their weetabix iirc, or at least a small amount of milk before brekkie, can you cut down on the milk?

donnie · 12/10/2006 12:50

about half an hour - sometimes less.I was thinking to maybe give a beaker of milk at the same time as teh cereal.

Yes at 18 mo give her her milk with her breakfast, she's well old enough to drop the bottle altogether and have a cup.

lucycat · 12/10/2006 13:08

oh god I can't remember.

They were having anywayup cups - so one in the morning, perhaps a bit for elevenses, one at 3pm, it used to be Kipper time on NickJr and that was it I think. just measure an anywayupcup and they hold about 6oz.

About 15oz I suppose, but then they would also have it on their Weetabix and might not finish all the cups.

Does that help or confuse?

donnie · 12/10/2006 13:09

thanks everyone, am going to drop that morning bottle I think.

Does she wake up crying? If she is calm and there's no mad rush, there's absolutely no reason you can't give her the milk with her breakfast - give her half in a cup and half on porridge or whatever she's having!
