Please??

DD is nearly 10 mths and thankfully never had any problems feeding her

But I'm feeling really touched out at the moment

She's had a cold for over a week and feeds have become hard work for her. She is also soo nosy that she pulls herself up to sitting still attached terrified that she's going to miss something.

She's started feeding throught the whole evening and then is awake again at stupid o'clock wanting more and more

She still has feeds through the day so I don't think it's because she's missing out on feeds then.

I'm not thinking about giving up but I'm just fed up of the frequency, the hair pulling, nipple pulling, finger in the mouth, ear, nostril feeds.

I'm pretty sure this'll pass but I'm feeling negative about feeding at the moment so please please remind why I am doing this

Think of the benefit to DD... all that goodness. Just think how safe and warm she feels snuggled next to you. Think how tasty and warm your milk is... err...

Thank you QS

You made me LOL (quite an achievement cause I'm a miserable cow at the moment)

I'm definately at the err stage myself but at least I've got a smile on my face now

Brings back memories, I BF dd till she was 2 but at about the same age as your dd she started doing the same, when I laughed down at her she had the cheekiest glint in her eye - she really enjoyed it so at least you know you are giving her that!

Feed her sat up with you in the bath (legs under your arm towards the back of the bath)... the warmth, water, and the loving grinning look is soooo nice.

Second thing... think how much hassle bottles are

I've been expressing this week and giving bottles at the snottiest times - he can breathe more easily with a bottle.

Yes, cheeky grin and look in her eye is saving her from being in my bad books!

I'll try the bath, the steam'll probably do her good as well.

Should dig out the pump from ds2 really too. I could do with not feeling like I'm the only one who can feed her.

I'm starting with the cold too and I want my mum so I should be a bit more sympathetic towards her wanting me really
