Cow's milk, lactose, soya intollerance help needed!

Hi, our almost 1 year old has always suffered from reflux and she's been taking 20mg of omeprazole daily for months. At our latest consultant appointment we explain that she suffers from awful wind, especially at night and after her feed (still can't get rid of it as she refuses water so gets dehydrated easily) can easily be awake with wind for between 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 hours.
The consultant now wants to try her on a strict no cow's milk, soya or lactose diet for 6 weeks to see if it helps. She is having an oat drink in place of milk and this is the problem. Per 100ml it has 0.9g fat compared to her formula which has about 3.8g. So she's filling up on oat liquid at bedtime but waking hungry again after 3 hours. She will refuse more oat drink or normal formula for at least an hour until the liquid has reduced and she's got room for the proper stuff (that we're not meant to be giving her but if we don't she's awake all night hungry).
They said at the app that at 12 months they wouldn't prescribe Nutramigen hypoallergenic formula as she is weaned. Surely she is not fully weaned until she's having a lot less milk.
My question is - do any of you have Nutramigen prescribed at over 12 months? Want to speak to GP about it tomorrow in the hope he will give us it. I should point out that she really needs the fat - she has lost 10oz of weight in less than a month due to a negative association with food i.e. food = pain :-(
ANY HELP, ADVICE, SIMILAR STORIES WOULD BE AN ENORMOUS HELP

I would speak to a dietician - what I did with both of mine was give oat milk plus a top up of oat cream which made her fuller.

I was still bf as well though so slightly different.

With food, I stripped out anything acidic - citrus fruits, pineapple, tomatoes and wind inducing (peas, brocolli, onions etc) and had a very simple diet. Chicken, turkey and lamb. No beef. This was cleared by the dietician.

I chopped up food very very small and gave regular snacks. I found if ds and dd had smaller more regular filling meals they would do better at night.

I think the hypoallergenic formula is rank hence rarely prescribed at this age. Do see a dietician for ideas.

You also have to be careful not to overfill when they have reflux as being too full can trigger the acid.

Thanks Iggly. We have seen a dietician but I might call her tomorrow for a chat. We have already discussed the problem of getting other fat and protein from meats into her as she has problems eating solid food. She has no chewing mechanism so will often choke on things. Therefore still limited to ella's kitchen purees. We keep trying 'real' food but she seems to have such a sensitive tummy. been referred to feeding development team at the hospital as well as waiting for brain scans and full development assessments. So much going on and her sleep is rubbish anyway. This is just making it worse. Will have a look for oat cream, thank you

When you say no chewing mechanism, what happens?

Have you had her checked for tongue tie/high palate/larger tonsils as this can also make swallowing difficult.

Be careful with pouches - some of them have dairy etc in. Which is why I stopped using. Better to batch cook some foods then blitz them. You can get hand blender very cheaply to do the job.
