9mo with sickness bug - do we offer milk (and food) or not?

Dd is 9mo and ff. She's just puked all over herself in bed, thankfully has resettled. She was also sick first thing on Wednesday morning but nothing again until now.

She's been off her food - eating some but not her usual enormous quantities, and has had some quite rancid nappies, plus a cough. I had put it down to teething but now think it's a bug.

So my question is what should I be offering her food / drink wise tomorrow? She is a 'substantial' size and usually eats well - she only has two bottles per day.

Should we ditch milk and food for 24hrs and just offer water? Or do we continue to offer everything as normal and hope that some stays in?!

continue with normal milk feeds and solids once vomiting under control

Thank you for that link - really useful!

It's her first time being poorly and she is being so good about it all! I think I would be a lot more pathetic if I had puked in my hair!

If it's still happening I would give 111 a call for advise on how to notice dehydration and when this actually because a problem. I assume you don't want to trek all the way to the drs spreading your sickly germs!!

Well so far we have had no sickness since 11.30pm yesterday. She woke up a bit more clingy than usual, which then elevated to really angry crying when she saw a bottle, so I fed her and she drank ferociously, taking almost all of her 6oz bottle.

She's also had some toast (cried when she saw mine) and some water and seems reasonably happy, so I am going to keep an eye on her and hope that we may be over the worst.

I don't think she's dehydrated based on drinking the milk as well as additional water, but I will look out for signs based on that nhs link.
