Breast feeding and full fat milk

Hi. Do you drink full fat milk when breastfeeding. I feel like I want to start loosing some weight now but have been eating and drinking fatty stuff for my milk. Cutting out full fat milk may be a good start but worried this will effect the quality of my supply?

Sorry if you already know this but I believe that full fat milk is still only around 4% fat (or 96% fat free...).
It never occurred to me to get different milk so I've been on the usual semi-skimmed just out of habit and have a chunky 6 month old.
I was ill over the summer and on doctor's advice was on an extremely restricted low fat/low calorie diet (mostly rice...) for several weeks but still managed to feed the baby ok, although I felt extremely weak and rubbish - this was possibly partly due to iron deficiency. I certainly wouldn't recommend it (I tried to change him to formula but he wasn't having it!) but I don't think the type of food should affect supply though drastic calorie restriction might according to the article I read on Kellymom.

Your milk intake - quantity or the type of milk - will happily make no difference whatsoever to your breastfeeding or your milk, Lucy :)

You don't have to drink milk at all if you don't want to. If you drink milk, then skimmed is fine.
